The Grade II* listed building was first inaugurated as a public meeting space for the Methodist Church in 1912, making the hosting of successful events integral to its identity. While Central Hall Westminster continues to be owned by the Methodist Church, it now hosts over 800 diverse events every year. The venue is particularly well-known for hosting events of significance, such as Katy Perry’s ‘Night of a Lifetime’, BBC New Year’s Eve Shows, Stand Up to Cancer, The Late, Late Show, and the very first UN public address in 1946. Many public events held here have been broadcast live on television.
